Stubborn

I don't know where my head might lay

But when I close my eyes I'm in the Appalach’

I can take in that green lit somber

Rest upon all the gentle wonder

I can hear those vultures grumbling

Do this, do that and we'll give ya some, boy

I'd rather lay me down six feet sideways

Than talking dirty with a bunch of bad guys

I could spend my days sharpening claws

Just to dull them on these mental walls

I could shape shift thirty times over

Still be looking what's over my shoulder

I could follow the path unpaved

Still be trippin' over my laces

I could take it all in stride

To my grave I finally made it, boys

Tell me what I got to give

And I wont do it, no

Tell me what I got to give

Why so stubborn

Tell me what I got to give

I wont do it, no

Why so stubborn

Wayward and the chains unbound

Slipping through the cracks

Trying to live a little

Earshot of all the sounds

Slithering like a snake

Sneaking outta your television

I'll fight my way to the bottom

Kick back

Hang with the forgotten

I don't know why I'm in it

But god forbid I have an opinion

Tell me what I got to give

And I wont do it, no

Tell me what I got to give

Why so stubborn
